Two-thirds of Australians feel poorer than last year

A rising number of Australians are losing faith the federal government will fix the housing crisis, despite a budget that was aimed at levelling the property playing field.

A new housing scorecard has revealed trust in Premier Chris Minns’ government to fix NSW’s housing crisis has plummeted, with 77 per cent of NSW residents concerned about the impact of immigration.

The Victorian government has been hit with a grim election warning as almost two-thirds of voters no longer believe they can remedy the state’s housing crisis. In a new report from independent advocacy group Amplify Australia, 65 per cent of Victorians have indicated they do not trust the state government to improve housing in the next year.
